The order to "Obey, even if you disagree" (WT Simplified edition) is clearly to prime the potential Great Crowd for a strategy of the WTBTS which has already been decided upon for the near future! Nothing less!

Also, what is glaringly obvious is that PIONEERS got the first crack at "Cosmopolitan Witnessing" and the Trolley Witnessing, then the average publisher. This enables the pioneers to really build up the hourly requirement of "preaching", when in actual fact, they are standing for 1,2,3, or 4 hours talking to their companion.
Jesus said, "GO therefore and make disciples", not "STAND therefore....".
Basically it's a conniving way of getting people to advertise the JW.ORG website worldwide by deluding them into thinking they are fulfilling their so-called "dedication" and are WITNESSING!! Very sad!

The Watchtower is under siege from inside and outside
by suavojr inthat is the reason the watchtower leaders are desperately trying to protect their indoctrinated supporters from being influenced by the critics.. it will get harder and harder to recruit in countries where the internet is easily accessible...the watchtower has no control over the public like it does the indoctrinated jws.
..any interested person can very easily google and learn the truth about the watchtower cult before a 'return visit' can be made.
although most jws would be afraid to go into 'apostate ' sites, more and more are waking up to the truth about the watchtower , their interest triggered by different reasons such as the child abuse cover up, the constantly changing doctrines,the downsizing etc.

I'm doing my best, in the KH and in private conversations - ergo, I have Elders regularly, and blatantly, trying to eavesdrop on my conversations with certain ones at the KH!

Virtually every single Elder I've come to know in the past 15-20 years has given off the same vibes - "I have reached the top in the congregation, and I now have authority and position, thanks to my prized title of 'Elder'!"
I don't see Ministerial Servants scurrying around trying to help the elderly with gardening or DIY jobs, but they will 'exert' [suck up] themselves in trying to impress the BOE with more hours in FS and be willing to do any job that the Elders should be doing.
Elders haven't a clue what deep Bible study means, because a bunch of faceless yes-men at HQ have done it all for them!!
If they did serious Bible study, their consciences would make them relinquish their precious title, double-quick!!
Final point: as personally experienced, tell them a Bible truth which 100% highlights the fact that the "Faithful and Discreet Slave" in Brooklyn are blatant LIARS! (the scrolls are opened AFTER Satan is destroyed - not during 1000 year reign!)
The dumbstruck look on the face, and the silence, is a wonderful experience which I will never forget!

Something to consider when revealing WT history to your JW and a funny story

first, we just attended a gathering sunday with a bunch of jws.
it all went as you would suspect--met a kid i imagine is gay but his friends just claim hes very sheltered, typical monitoring of music to make sure nothing bad was on, prayer to jehovah giving thanks for the latest wt article, and a mother complaining about some adults having an alcoholic beverage and how wrong it was at this type of gathering.... but what tops it off is what my daughter said to a brother near the end of the day.. she has a toy she brought and played with the whole time since there werent many iids her age there.

If anyone approaches you on the birthday topic, ask them for the specific Scripture which says that is wrong to remember your birth date! When they tell you it's "a principle", then tell them that every Witness should be warned not to celebrate their wedding anniversary, because the "principle" is, not one person in the nation of Israel, or Christians, celebrated their anniversary - so it MUST be wrong!!
Tell them "Yes, it's my personal principle, but it's as relevant as the birthday one."

I am DF'd and a JW sister called me to tell me she wants to leave

she knows i am df'd and she wanted to reach out to me.
she fell away for a few years, and when she came back i had a study with her before she became active again.

Just give her a listening ear and show her genuine concern, love, compassion, and empathy - things which are in very short supply at the KH. Too busy worrying about about being a "trolly dolly" and adding to the monthly time-sheet!
